I am using this book to introduce my elementary students to the artwork of Paul Klee and for that purpose it is perfect. This is a large book with great illustrations.

Another Great Book for Children

This book was used in conjunction with "Paul Klee for Children" in a series of lessons about the artist. Following the reading of "The Cat and Bird" the students were invited to create their own "Cat and Bird" inspired art but using two other favorite animals. The book is imaginative and easy to read, the children would have enjoyed it alone even without the previous introduction to Paul Klee.

Wonderful introduction to the art of Paul Klee for children

I bought this book as I was interested in a book to introduce cats in art for my second grade art students. This one fit the bill. We were able to discuss the characteristics of cats and talk about the art of Paul Klee. The students were able to identify the Elements of Design within the illustrations and make comparisons to the art of Klee. We had a lively productive discussion as a result, and their artwork became bright and whimsical!
